Most Women Miss These Common Signs Of Ovarian Cancer
Published April 30, 2019
Cancer is responsible for about 30 percent of the deaths in the United States. Ovarian cancer is less common than many other forms of cancer. However, it can be deadly. It is often referred to as a silent killer because many women do not have any symptoms. Ovarian cancer typically develops in post-menopausal women. However, more women are being diagnosed when they are in their 30s and 40s.
Ovarian cancer is difficult to diagnose because it causes symptoms that are similar to other conditions, such as irritable bowel syndrome. There are symptoms that women should not ignore. The earlier this condition is diagnosed, the better.
Persistent Bloating
If you notice that you are constantly bloating, then this could be a sign that you have tumors growing in or around your ovaries. This bloating may last for more than three weeks
2. Abdominal and Pelvic Pain
You may feel pain in all of the areas that you have menstrual pain even when you are not on your period. This pain may also last for three weeks or more. Pre-menopausal should take note of this symptom.
3. Eating Problems
If you have not had an appetite for more than three weeks, then it is time to see a physician. This could be a sign that the cancer has spread to other parts of your stomach.
4. Frequent Urination
Frequent urination may be a sign of ovarian cancer.
All of these symptoms may be caused by gastrointestinal issues. You should take note of the intensity and frequency of these symptoms. If these symptoms do not go away within three weeks, then it is time to see a physician.
